When I returned to San Antonio for a quick visit, the first restaurant I wanted to go to was Picknikins. This place is amazing. The staff is always courteous, friendly and prompt. The food is ridiculous. Everything is so good. But, the poblano soup is so amazing that I have always had a hard time not ordering that. I got the soup with half chicken salad sandwich and it was (as my daughter says) sooo happy making. The ultimate sandwich is always my husbands go to. The Vermont salad is incredible. I will not visit SA without a lunch at Picknikins. It's a great place.

This is one of my regular lunch spots. Really good food, fast, reasonably priced, and great service. Today, I ordered the Fabulous Roast Beef sandwich on marbled rye with the house chips to go. It was ready in 5 minutes and staff was very helpful. Total was $12.45 before gratuity. I've never had anything from Picnikins that wasn't really good. Definitely try this place for a really good sandwich or salad. The house potato chips come with all the sandwiches and they are great.

I've been here before. Great spot, nice servers, and delicious food. I ordered the orchard sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was almost ready when I showed up, but I had to wait right in front of the dessert display. I ordered the lemon bar instead of the brownie and headed back to work. The sandwich and fries were very good; fresh lettuce, hot fries, and quality fixings, as usual. But the lemon bar, well for you Bake Off fans, it definitely would've gotten a handshake from Paul. I make lemon bars, and this is the best I've ever had. Not too sweet, not too tart, very short crust with a visible small layer of a beautifully cracked top. Pure heaven. I'll check out the brownie next time.

Love the soup salad and sandwiches. Always A+. My friend had some medical problem and the staff rushed to help. She ended up in the ER and had a two week hospital stay. She's doing all right considering. Thank you to the staff!! Amazing.

A sandwich place that gets 5 star review? Absolutely, the Ultimate could be my all time favorite sandwich. And the staff is really friendly and helpful too.

This cafe is great with a very nice casual atmosphere. As soon as you enter you see the lush wall of greenery. The menu is against the wall so you can decide what you want to order. I had half sandwich and a cup of soup. I highly recommend the roasted poblano soup. It was very flavorful and creamy! The tea is also brewed fresh and very tasty. The service is also great. The employee was very friendly and helpful. The tables were also cleaned promptly after people left.

My favorite spot to get sandwiches in San Antonio. The sandwiches are always fresh and delicious. I love the ultimate sandwich, perfectly creamy with the mayo/cream cheese combo. I'm usually not a Mayo fan but I love it in this sandwich. The sprouts provide a perfect touch of greens and the turkey and bacon are just delicious. The Vermont salad is my absolute favorite salad. I usually prefer savory nor sweet salads but this salad is just perfect. I often order their catering chicken as well and the offices I take picknicks to always rave and are excited that I bring it. Their catering chicken ranchero (chicken & pesto with a jalapeño sauce) is SO good but Is a catering only option. The service is nice but usually takes a bit longer than most places do for sandwiches but it is so worth the wait.

My boss treated us to Picnikins and let me say, it did not disappoint! We ordered about 12 sandwiches and all the orders were correct. There weren't any issues picking up or with our large order. The sweet tea was really good as well. I chose the ultimate sandwich which has smoked turkey breast, bacon, avocado, tomato, sprouts, mayonnaise and cream cheese. For the side I got their potato chips. They were crunchy and delicious! The sandwich was amazing! I can't wait to try other items on the menu. The inside is nice and kinda gives Jason's Deli vibes but I think that they sell wine here which is pretty neat.

We are in a multi-day work meeting and they asked where we should go grab lunch for the team. Without delay I said Picnikins on Blanco and 410. Many had not heard of this great, local small business, but after lunch they thanked me for the choice. Picnikins is a great choice for an office lunch buy because they have a lot of soup/salad/sandwich choices, great combo deals, and their online ordering page makes it so easy to customize every sandwich and salad. No onion, no problem. Want to change the condiments on a given sandwich, no problem. And most sandwiched have the option of 5 breads, including gluten free or a lettuce wrap. Today I had the salad/sandwich combination with Caesar salad and the Roast Beef and provolone on wheat nut bread. The salad was very fresh and came with dressing on the side so I could use as much or little. Great taste in the dressing. The sandwich was on very fresh wheat bread and had a good amount of deli shaved tender roast beef and a lot of shredded lettuce. Made me want to order the whole sandwich instead of the half I did. I added mustard that gave it a nice tanginess. Others on my team ordered a variety of salads and burgers. The burgers were a hit, though no one would share with me.
